I

my

remember.
I
decided
to
choose
an
English
name
to
make
things
easier
for
everyone. After
much
consideration,
I
decided
to
go
with
Linda.
At
the
time,
I
didn't
know
that
Linda
was
such
a
popular
name,
but
I
soon
discovered
that
it
was.
Despite
its
popularity,
I
grew
to
love
my
new
name.
It
represented
a
fresh
start
for
me
in
my
new
country,
and
it
allowed
me
to
blend
in
with
my
new
surroundings. Over
time,
I
discovered
that
there
was
more
to
the
name
Linda
than
just
its
popularity.
It
actually
has
Germanic
roots
and
means
"soft"
or
"tender."
This
meaning
resonated
with
me
because
I've
always
considered
myself
to
be
a
gentle
and
kind
person
who
values
compassion
and
empathy. Having
an
English
name
also
gave
me
the
opportunity
to
explore
a
new
culture
and
language.
Learning
English
became
a
priority
for
me,
and
having
a
name
that
reflected
that
helped
me
to
embrace
it
even
more. Today,
I'm
proud
to
be
known
as
Linda.
It's
a
name

has
allowed
me
to

my
Chinese
name
will

a

me,
Linda
represents
