and
I
want
to
share

you
my
journey

self-discovery.
It
all
started
when
I
was

little
boy
growing
up

Midwest.
I
was

shy
and
introverted
child,
always
keeping

myself
and
preferring
the
company
of
books
to
people. As
I
got
older,
I
realized
that
I
was
different
from
the
other
boys.
I
didn't
like
sports
or
rough
play,
and
I
sometimes
found
myself
attracted
to
other
boys.
At
first,
I
didn't
know
how
to
make
sense
of
these
feelings,
and
I
felt
ashamed
and
scared. But
then,
something
changed.
I
discovered
the
power
of
art
and
music,
and
I
began
to
express
myself
in
ways
that
I
had
never
thought
possible.
I
learned
to
play
the
guitar
and
started
writing
my
own
songs.
I
found
that
music
was
a
way
for
me
to
connect
with
others
and
share
my
emotions
in
a
way
that
words
could
not. Through
my
music,
I
discovered
a
community
of
people
who
were
like
me.
I
found
friends
who
accepted
me
for
who
I
was,
and
I
started
to
feel
more
comfortable
in
my
own
skin.
I
also
started
to
explore
my
sexuality
more
openly,
and
I
realized
that
I
was

I've
learned
to
embrace
my
differences
and
to
celebrate
the
things
that
make
me
unique. Now,
as
a
young
adult,
I
feel
more
confident
and
self-assured
than
ever
before.
My
music
continues
to
be
a
source
of
inspiration
and
joy
for
me,
and
I'm
excited
to
see
where
my
journey
will
take
me
next. In
the
end,
I've
realized
that
my
name,
David,
has
come
to
symbolize
my
journey
of
self-discovery.
Just
as
David
in
the
Bible
faced
challenges
and
obstacles,
I
too
have
faced
my
own
struggles.
But
through
it
all,
I've
learned
to
be
strong
and
resilient,
and
I've
come
out
the
other
side
a
better
and
more
fulfilled
person.
